Banowsky's Big Scramble

Banowsky's Big Scramble
Submitted by paraxysm on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 - 8:25am Landmark Theaters

Has any landmark employee had the enjoyment of Bill Banowsky coming to your market for a full-market meeting? I got back from one and oh boy was it fun. I thought he'd be vague with the whole purpose of his trip (pre-emptive union busting obviously) but nope within his opening paragraph he mentioned unions. It's funny how fast landmark can move if their bottom line may get hurt. And if landmark think a 35 minute meeting with the CEO and a lot of vague promises will smooth everything over, landmark has truly lost touch with their employees.

He spoke at the Shattuck, and that went well

I haven’t had the pleasure of hearing him speak, but if it
was anything like the patronizing letter he sent to the Shattuck workers, I’m
guessing his talk only serves to demonstrate why workers seek out unions in the
first place.
