If any of you have ambled into the commercial theater houses recently, I am certain that you witnessed the trailer for "King Kong"; Peter Jackson's epic re-telling of the classic film starring Jack Black, Adrian Brody and Naomi Watts. Wow. At its conclusion, I uttered these words out loud (and I am very against talking during films, including previews): "'Twas CGI that killed the beast." Another unnecessary remake.. LoTR fans I am sure will fill seats when it is released. And good for him. I just wish Jackson would pander to those that found "Heavenly Creatures" and "Meet the Feebles" more interesting works. |
