TECHNOLOGY IS ON THE MOVE AT LANDMARK THEATRES…NEW TICKETSOFT SYSTEM LITERALLY BRINGS US SOFTER TICKETS! DRASTIC REDUCTION IN CARDSTOCK-RELATED INJURIES ALREADY NOTICED CHAIN-WIDE!

A new ticketing system was recently brought into Landmark Theatres.  The system is better a couple ways, clunky and inefficient in some others.

The biggest change customers will notice is that they will now get a receipt with a barcode as opposed to the now antiquated, perforated cardstock ticket.   The change was met by many with confusion and yes, a little sadness.

The system is new and I hear that comments/suggestions about it are welcome (and may even be acted upon), so please fill out a comment card at your local Landmark Theatre or write to comments@landmarktheatres.com if you also like tickets.

And if you’re really interested, check out http://www.ticketsoft.com/

From the ticketsoft website:

We Have Affordable Solutions

The days of sticker shock when buying software to run your business are OVER. We license our software for a tiny ‘per ticket sold’ fee. Because we have been in the theatre business we know how important it is to keep your costs predictable and low. Licensing by attendance allows you pay less in your slower months. We do not add on per transaction fees for gift card transactions or internet ticketing. That means if you want to add surcharges on your online ticket sales, you keep the entire amount! It is possible that your online ticket operations can pay for all of your software licensing fees.

It's no suprise that the Kendall would lessen their presentation to save a few cents. We already have to sit through commericals before the previews now.

Well, maybe with all that money they save they'll be able to pay you guys more...

Hahahahahahahahaha!
